Elsie has been attending Pop Art since we opened the studio in 2021! She started when she was in Kindy and now she is in Year 3! She loves an afternoon tea of Jatz and infamously made a series of creations with Jatz boxes over her first holiday art camp. She loves creating objects that are interactive, like snow globes, puzzles and games, and she also loves working with textiles. Who can also forget her very own original cartoon creation, Cunfu (Kungfu) Cow - a martial arts loving bovine being. The future looks so much more promising when we have an imaginative mind like Elsie's around. We can't think of a better artist to launch our 'Meet our Junior Pop Artists' blog with than with this young pop star. We took a couple of minutes out of creating to ask Elsie a few key questions.
POP: Hey Elsie, what do you like about art?
Elsie: I like that you can be creative!
POP: What's one of your favourite things that you've created?
Elsie: It was after Book Week at school, at Pop Art, I made this Willy Wonka machine out of a cardboard box. There was this wheel which was like a Taste-o-meter, and you spin it, and then you put the food in a little box, and it said what the thing was, when I was actually just turning a skewer and like, looking!
Elsie, we love everything you do and hope you'll always stay true to your creative and imaginative soul.
